Source: espon.euThe deadline for applying is 31 March 2016.The ESPON 2020 Programme aims at promoting and fostering a European territorial dimension in development and cooperation by providing evidence, knowledge transfer and policy learning to public authorities and other policy actors at all levels.The ESPON EGTC is recruiting two new staff members: A Project Expert / Communication, Press and Social Media and a Financial Expert / Progress Reporting and Financial Management.(1) The Project Expert/Communication, Press and Social Media shall promote a wider outreach of territorial evidence in line with the Outreach Strategy adopted for ESPON. The tasks envisaged will include press relations and media screening for potential communication opportunities for ESPON, as well as journalistic support for short and easy communication to policy makers. In particular, the committed use of social media in creating a wider outreach will be important as well as promoting the use of modern, digital communication channels in support of the uptake of ESPON territorial evidence. The post is allocated to the Unit on Evidence and Outreach within the ESPON EGTC.(2) The Financial Expert/Progress Reporting and Financial Management shall contribute to an efficient and accurate accounting, reporting and control within the ESPON EGTC. The elaboration of Progress reports and support to the internal financial management will be among the tasks envisaged, which will also include contributing to efficient internal financial and administrative procedures and project management from a contractual and financial point of view. The post is allocated to the Unit on Administration and Management within the ESPON EGTC.
